Inshore Stuart Fishing Report For 4/25/20
It is definitely spring time in Florida with the bait fishing showing up in droves in the Indian River Lagoon. The bait is here and the bite has certainly been on!
Most recently, fishing near the Jensen Beach Causeway has still been showing some great Redfish and the Snook bite has been amazing.
During incoming tide, Pilchards have been stacked up on the shadow-line by the thousands. Cast-netting is prohibited on the pier, so make sure to bring a few sabikis (we’ve been using the green ones, which have been producing stringer fulls each time).
Additionally, in Stuart, Pilchards are producing some great Snook freelining them around the docks and seawalls.
The spring mullet run has begun and we’ve been finding finger mullet and larger mullet near the mangroves up and down the Indian River. Try tossing a large mullet to a seawall and we’re sure you’ll get the bite.
The Trout bite has been slowing down slightly, but you can still find them by the power plant on the flats using shrimp or plastic DOA shrimp.
